Newsletter 26.09.2014

It is always great to see children becoming more confident exploring different areas and trying new activities at school. F2 children are showing confidence and independence in some activities we have done for the first time at school this week.

We have started using the main playground to further develop the children's motor skills. This week they have been driving trikes around and i must say some of them are really good at maneuvering the trikes around the big space!

In Music, Mr Robbie introduced a new musical instrument called a 'boom whacker'. Children were very excited to get one and could not wait to make different sounds with it.

And as we prepare for next week's Book Celebration, children have been really good at making the display for the book that we are focusing on. We can't wait for all the parents to see the wonderful artwork the children have made. EYFS are going to focus on the story 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar'.

It has been very busy but we have enjoyed every moment of learning together!

Please see previous post for more information and schedule next week.

Have a lovely weekend!

Regards,
Ms Grace and F2 teachers

Thursday, 25 September 2014

The Fahasa Book Fair will be held on Wednesday 1st and Thursday 2nd October. F2 will visit the book fair with their teachers on Wednesday.

You do not need to bring any money to school. If you would like to buy a book, you need to come with an adult after school to pay.

Happy reading!

F2's trip to a constriction site in D2

What a wonderful morning was spent at Imperia!  Before we set off to the construction site, we had a chat about what we would be looking out for when we got there.  There were three groups and three activities. Each group had snack, some time in the Imperia play area and also went up to Ms Grace's apartment to see the construction site.  The children noticed cranes, diggers, tipper trucks and lots of workmen wearing helmets.  Lots of children spotted that there weren't any road rollers and bulldozers and wondered where they were.  The children also spotted soil, water and a man controlling one of the cranes.  It was very exciting to see the cranes moving from left to right and up and down.  There were lots of 'wows' when the children saw the construction site for the first time because it was so big and busy.  What a lot of learning and fun!
